Fatty acid?binding protein 5 controls lung tumor metastasis by regulating the maturation of natural killer cells in the lung

Fatty acid-binding protein (FABP) 5 is highly expressed in various types of tumors and strongly correlated with tumor growth, development, metastasis. However, it unclear how the expression FABP5 host affects progression. In this study, using a lung metastasis model mice, we found that FABP5-deficient mice were more susceptible to metastasis, which accompanied by infiltration lower frequency activated natural killer (NK) cells lung. Additionally, deficiency leads impaired maturation NK lungs, but not bone marrow spleen. Taken together, our results provide first evidence regulates through controlling cell maturation.
